Paul Simon brings his critically acclaimed and GRAMMY®-nominated work *Seven Psalms* to life in the first-ever complete live performance of the entire piece. As part of “A Quiet Celebration,” he presents an intimate concert evening that spans his impressive career and celebrates new arrangements of timeless classics, hidden musical treasures, and new discoveries.
Inspired by the desire to perform live again, Simon began rehearsals and developed ways to bring *Seven Psalms* to the stage. Adapting the individual sections for live performance led to entirely new interpretations of some of his most beloved songs and sparked in him the desire to share these contemplative and artfully crafted compositions with his audience.
“A Quiet Celebration” toured the U.S., stopping at small, carefully selected venues known for their excellent acoustics and intimate atmosphere. This allowed the audience to experience the music in a particularly intense and immediate way.
“This tour allowed me to play with other musicians again,” said Paul Simon. “I really missed that. Everyone enjoyed this experience so much. A sense of community and enthusiasm emerged because we were performing a piece of music that was truly close to our hearts. That had a profound impact on me. It was one of the most extraordinary tours I’ve ever done—perhaps even the most joyful.”

The “A Quiet Celebration” tour took place in 2025 at smaller venues across the U.S. and Canada. The concert featured on this double CD was recorded live at McCaw Hall in Seattle. The show featured the very first full-length live performance of his 2023 album “Seven Psalms” on CD1, followed by a selection of hits and lesser-known songs on the second CD.
