American pop rock band founded in 1965 (still active). Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 (Performer). Lovin’ Soonful were an American Rock band who had its roots in the folk music scene based in the Greenwich Village section of lower Manhattan. Fronted by John Sebastian (also known for his impromptu appearance at the Woodstock festival in 1969). The bands roots were firmly planted in the Folk music Scene and „Daydream” was their second Album which was first released in 1966 and featured two hits, the title track „Daydream”, which reached No. 2 in the U.S. and UK charts, and „You Didn’t Have to Be So Nice” (U.S. No. 10).
