Lovejoy returned in 2024 after an extended sabbatical, with the warmly received album ‘…And It’s Love!’, earning great reviews and radio support in the UK and further afield. In the time since the last album release, life took a few unexpected turns, though things have since found their balance. These experiences now shape the sound and feel of ‘Under The Weather’. While it’s themes touch on navigating unexpected currents, the album itself is anything but heavy going.
At it’s heart, this is a collection of Lovejoy’s most open, tender and quietly uplifting songs to date. There’s warmth, hope, love and gratitude running through it, even when the lyrics wander into darker territory.
