„The album „Quindeccenial” marks the culmination of fifteen years of activity for the quartet Eyot, the most successful Serbian jazz ensemble on the global stage. This is an extraordinary anniversary in the jazz world, where most creators seek interchange with major formats. Against this backdrop, the question arises: What motivated Spires Dejanllijic, Sladan Milenovic, Marko Stojiljkovica, and Milos Vojvodic to engage in this artistic work with the same passion?
This is not a standard live album, where the band typically relies on thoughtful stage equipment or hosts a concert at an attractive venue; quite the opposite is true: The band has regularly recorded its concerts around the globe and ultimately does not hesitate to merge them into one; it lasts exactly as long as thirty typical concerts, including „Similarity” as the challenge, as Lijic put it, was to reconcile three things: solid performance, good sound, and different locations.”
