The quintet from Oberhausen presents a mature collection of rousing songs that thrive on the lively alternating vocals of the two singers and the flippant, uniquely Ruhrgebiet-typical lyrics. Musically at home in anthemic street punk with bar-compatible choruses, the musicians also master excursions into ska, folk, swing or even carnival songs with aplomb.

Although the band’s lyrics often emphasize their legendary live party bonus, songs such as „Keine Lieder Gegen Nazis” or „Asoziales Jugendzentrum” contain critical and well thought-out lyrics, surprising cover versions („Vorschlaghammer” / Element Of Crime, „Jawoll Meine Herrn” / Albers / Rühmann, feat. Wolfgang Wendland / Die Kassierer) round off the picture. A killer album that propelled Emscherkurve 77 into the premier league of local street punk.
