A strong collection of diverse and detailed ditties from Mr Elvin. As before, he gallumphs around the boundaries of several genres, some of which are mentioned in the bandcamp tags. I’d call it ‘avant-prog’ although he seems to be doing something entirely his own anyway.
Prepare yourself for skewed harmonies, filigree arpeggiations, crumbling walls of sound, dark rumbles, sputtering eruptions and restless, asymmetrical shuffles. A stimulating, largely instrumental work, full of contrasts.
