SOLO BROADCAST RECORDING FROM DAVID BYRNE DURING HIS LOOK INTO THE EYEBALL TOUR! Having started his career in the mid-1970s as the front man of pioneering New Wave collective Talking Heads, David Byrne established himself as a bona fide collaborator as early as 1979 via the much-praised My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts with Brian Eno, and the soundtrack to The Catherine Wheel, a ballet by Twyla Tharp, in 1981.
The recording featured on this CD was captured at The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colorado on 24th May 2001. Simultaneously broadcast nationally on FM radio, Byrne plays a selection of cuts from his latest album as well as several solo and Talking Heads numbers, alongside a curious cover of Whitney Houston s I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me).
