Black Metal, Limited edition MCD mini-album, 2020.
Balmog was formed around the years 2003 and 2004 by Balc, Virus and Morg in the small village of
Soutomaior (Galiza, Northwest Atlantic coast of Spain ). From the very beginning, the three headed beast had a clear idea and objective in its mind: to create the most obscure and violent music searching in the depths of human thought and knowledge.
After several demo tapes, 7” and splits released between 2006 and 2012, the band edits their first fulllength entitled TESTIMONY OF THE ABOMINABLE, finding a respected place in the global underground scene.Two more full-lengths, SVMMA FIDE and VACVVM, confirmed Balmog as one of the most devoted Black Metal acts in the European scence. During all these years the band was a very active band, with prolific periods of tours, festivals and live shows all around Europe and Usa.
„PILLARs OF SALT” becomes the most ambitious and hard work of the band to date. Hidden under this mystical title, there is a work of absolute darkness and opression in which the band has tried to mix all the influences of the dark rock tradition, from psycho/prog rock, goth-rock or post punk, to traditional heavy metal and of course the most dark black/death metal tradition…the objetive for this work was clear: no musical limits except darkness… Special collaborations: Fiar (Foscor, Graveyard), choirs from the distant dunes.
