The Portuguese band Allstar Project came to be in 2001 and their name was chosen without much thought just before a show as they had to give one.
They have released 2 EP’s in 2003 and 2006 and one full length in 2007.
Their music is a rapid and high energy form of post-rock, which will appeal to those who find the slower more ponderous style uneventful.
„O Futuro dos Autoramas” is the seventh studio album by brazilian Rock band AUTORAMAS. Featuring eleven tracks (and a bonus on the CD version), the album was produced by the band and Lé Almeida – and mastered and mixed by Jim Diamond, producer from Detroit who has worked with bands like Sonics, White Stripes and Dirtbombs. Autoramas are one of today’s most important and exciting rock’n’roll bands in Brazil and for sure one of the best live acts around these days.
They play an explosive mix of ’60s Jovem Guarda, Ventures, Strait Jackets, Devo and Power Pop dancing tunes, featuring a heavy fuzzed out bass and the surf guitar of Gabriel Thomas, arguably the best rock guitarist in South America. Autoramas was described by the respected British label Rough Trade as „Excellent Garage Pop, the most important independent band in Brazil”.
