Jeff Cannata has released albums both under Arc Angel and his own name, the music has always had it’s roots in melodic rock but sometimes more towards AOR but also pomprock and even progressive rock. This fall, Cannata decided to release the new album A Kaleidoscope of Madness as Arc Angel and Jeff Cannata, perhaps because the music takes the listener into both worlds soundwise. This 15-track album combines the progressive side of AOR in a fine way and I must say that it truly sounds like a typical Cannata album. Many of these songs have been released on YouTube and his Bandcamp page but now completed as a full album with some new songs as well. The powerpop single Dopamine is flirting with Cheap Trick, my favorite True Voice is majestic and a highlight along a beautiful cover of The Ghost In You by Psychedelic Furs. The track Juliette is a modern day Beatles song while Kensington Park is classic Cannata. What a great album this is so be ready in October when it drops.
