Airless are a dazzling hard rock band hailing from Spain complete with classy AOR melodic sensibilities. As the title suggests „2nd Round” is the bands second full length album and debut on Lion Music following their acclaimed self titled debut. „2nd Round” is 11 tracks of melodic hard rock at it’s finest, yet a little harder than most bands within the genre. The classy vocals from Iñaki Lazkano and punchy guitar work of Robert Rodrigo form the basis of the bands trademark sound, which is fused by the rock solid backbone of Miguel Manjón on bass and Paco Martinez on drums.
Formed in January 2002 and released their self titled debut album in June 2002 via Vinny Records, the album was produced by Carlos Creator, which was distributed worldwide and in Japan it published and distributed it MELLOW MUSIC. The band signed with Lion Music for their 2005 release “2nd Round” and the album again saw release in Japan. In support of “2nd Round” Airless toured quite extensively with the likes of Riot, Tyketto, Dare amongst others.
December 2008 saw the release of the aforementioned “Fight” with the album marking a slightly harder edge than its predecessor better representative of the bands live show. During the promotion of Fight, Airless played on several Hard Rock/AOR Fests, and shared stage with bands like Vega, Serpentine, Houston and Reckless Love. February 2013 sees the band return with their most accomplished album to date – “Changes”.
