With the release of the 2019 album Section, Swedish post-punk/indie band A Projection stepped out of the oversized shadows of their early influences to establish a sound and identity entirely their own. Blending the emotional intensity of New Wave with the dark edge of Post-Punk and the melodic drive of Indie Rock, the Stockholm-based quintet delivered their most powerful statement to date.
Created during a period of major line-up changes and personal challenges, Section captured a band tested by adversity but emerging stronger—both musically and emotionally. The album pulsed with raw energy and punk attitude, weaving together urgent rhythms, haunting melodies, and emotionally charged atmospheres.
Every track on Section reflected A Projection’s evolution: a compelling mix of power and vulnerability, confidence and introspection. It was an album that not only honoured their post-punk roots but also marked a bold step forward into their own sonic universe.
