Released on the renowned swiss Label UNIT Records, the project gains international resonance through the participation of jazz legend Billy Cobham, producer Pablo Herrasti-Fajardo, and a range of outstanding guest artists. Together with his core quartet, Richard Koch (trumpet), Stephanie Weninger (piano, keys), and Raphael Preuschl (bass) — and nearly 20 musicians involved overall, Dolp creates a richly eclectic album situated somewhere between jazz, funk, 1970s fusion, and cinematic orchestral soundscapes.
Between melancholy and electrified alertness, the album feels like a soundtrack for a world in transition. For Dolp, it marks his most ambitious statement to date as drummer, composer, and producer, pushing beyond the boundaries of jazz into his personal cinematic sonic vision.
The music moves through three emotional poles:
Dread — the fear of what lies ahead,
Delight — the joy of the present moment,
Yowzah — the awe sparked by the unexpected.
