With the ‘Geyer Symphony’, one of Germany’s most influential Krautrock bands is making an impressive comeback: the cult band Floh de Cologne‘s album, released in 1984, is finally available again on CD. The ‘Geyer Symphony’ is one of the band’s later, but particularly exciting works, combining experimental Krautrock with political aspirations, theatrical elements and musical diversity. Typical of Floh de Cologne, progressive rock structures meet satirical lyrics and unusual arrangements – a document of its time with attitude and artistic consistency. This re-release makes a long-sought-after album available again and is aimed at both long-time fans and curious listeners who want to rediscover (or discover for the first time) the political Krautrock of the 1970s and 1980s.
