The German heavy rock band Wolfskull was founded in 2018 by guitarist Feratu. Their debut EP, Hexum, released in 2019, was an immediate hit, appearing as ‘Tip of the Month’ in Rock Hard and ‘Heroes of Tomorrow’ in Metal Hammer. Three years later, Wolfskull made another big splash with their 2022 debut album. ‘Ave Goddess‘ was named ‘Album of the Month’ in both Metal Hammer and Guitar Magazine. They also played support shows for Skid Row and made an exclusive appearance at the WDR Rockpalast. Now, WOLFSKULL are back. Louder, more detached and with even more drive.
The arrival of new guitarist Mike Nero at the start of 2024 brought a breath of fresh air to the band, which is clearly reflected in their new material. In September 2024, ten new tracks bursting with joy, power and catchy melodies were created at Soundlodge Studio under the direction of Jörg Uken (ANVIL, SUICIDE ANGELS, DEW SCENTED, TEMPLE OF DREAD, among others). These tracks offer everything that makes real heavy rock: driving riffs, powerful hooklines, great melodies and a modern, uncompromising sound that hits home.
„Midnite Masters” is a wild ride through dusty deserts, dark alleys, and rebellious motorcycle romance — a tribute to strong female heroes, underdogs, and night-time adventures. The artwork, created by the renowned South African artist Simon Berndt (1Horsetown), who has worked with the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Jerry Cantrell, The Sword, Pentagram and Primus, among others, perfectly rounds off the overall package visually. WOLFSKULL are back — and hungrier than ever!
