Featuring Alan Pasque, Tony Newton and Allan Holdsworth, this is a hard-edged fusion quartet. This album was bombed as the most innovating and invigorating compositions of its time. Each tracks are dynamic and revealing on its own, a brilliant album full of funky bass and drum combined with sneering guitars.
Recruiting legendary British guitarist John McLaughlin and organist Larry Young, Williams recorded the album Emergency!. It was a stunning and seminal work that divided critics in both jazz and rock but is now rightly regarded as being a groundbreaking work. In 1970 legendary bassist & vocalist Jack Bruce joined the group to record the outstanding Turn It Over. Far ahead of itstime, the album was to influence future fusion groups.
