And although it was in the years that followed that The Who attained the status of global millionaire superstars, the songs from their ‘early period’ remain their badge of true identity.
This amazing LP brings together a collection of radio broadcasts recorded in 1967 at the BBC’s Playhouse Theatre. Featuring sessions recorded for BBC Light Programme’s influential Saturday Club and Top Gear shows. Bonus cuts here feature recordings from the Marquee Club, originally shown on the German television series Beat! Beat! Beat!. Includes the classic tracks ‘My Generation’, ‘I Can See for Miles’, ‘A Quick One (While He’s Away)’ and more.
