With “No Bad Memories,” The Avalanches are releasing their fourth studio album and their first new album since 2020’s “We Will Always Love You.” Inspired by the intersection of personal memories, advertising aesthetics, and digital influences, the Australian trio has created a multi-layered album composed of samples, jingles, and forgotten sound fragments. In the process, rummaging through old sounds becomes the starting point for new ideas and shapes the album’s playful, exploratory character.
Featured artists on the album include Jamie xx, Karen O., Portraits Of Tracy, Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, and Prentiss.
