Taramis started under the name Prowler already in 1982 and made the clubs in Melbourne, Australia, unsafe with cover versions of Iron Maiden and other heroes. As so often, they decided to write their own songs, which ended up on the demo „Blood & Honour” in 1984. Now they just had to drop the name reminding of Iron Maiden and called themselves Taramis from then on.
