This is their best album to date, the vocals offer a wonderful change when compared to the majority of other albums. At first blush the music is fairly standard Sabbath-esque fare, but once you realize the music is just the vehicle for the fantastic vocals it all comes together to make a standout offering in the female-fronted bluesy doom genre.
Ric Bennett of TwinEarthRecords teamed up with his wife Elisa Maria and his drummer from the Starchild days to form ‘Stars that Move’ and to release their debut record ‘No Riders’. Elisa Maria does an awesome job on the vocals, while Frank does his Rock-solid thing on the drums and Ric is fiddling around with his axes. That’s a rather flippant and inadequate description of an album that deserves more recognition.
