SPEEDFIRE (known as SPITFIRE) is the greatest Heavy Metal legend of Greece. The band got on to a major start, getting signed to EMI Records Greece, supporting SAXON, and releasing in 1987, what now is considered, the best Heavy Metal album from Greece, „First Attack”, but they suffered a major blow when original frontman was seriously injured in a car accident… They resurfaced a few years later as SPEEDFIRE (due to legal rights from ex-manager), and finally reverted again to SPITFIRE.
„100% Live” is their only release under the name SPEEDFIRE. The legendary live album „100 Live”, previously released on a limited vinyl edition only in 1990, available for first time on CD format, packed with a bonus live DVD with a full show in 1991. The release comes with booklet including lyrics, photos and liner notes, and is released via Molon Lave Records.
SPITFIRE is simply the greatest Heavy Metal legend from Greece and huge bands like IRON MAIDEN and SCORPIONS asked specifically SPITFIRE as their support act in their Greek shows! They also have played with bands like DOKKEN, WHITESNAKE, DEF LEPPARD, Y&T and more.
