Drawing inspiration from the gloomy climate of the Pacific Northwest, The Sawyer Family have played over 600 shows in nearly every state since 2009, all the while appealing to punk, rock, metal and roots rock fans alike.
Constantly refining their ever evolving, sometimes unpredictable song writing, The Sawyer Family’s refusal to be pigeon-holed has become their trademark and in many ways what their fans have come to expect from them. Songs marked with huge dynamic shifts, sweeping vocal melodies and duelling guitars often draw comparisons to Queens of the Stone Age, Corrosion of Conformity and early Metallica.
While these are all influences, singularly unique elements like distorted bass violin solos and bowed classical passages distinguish them even from these entities.
