Carlos Santana is the great musical collaborator, combining his unique guitar style and expansive musical vision with a wide variety of artists to create something new, unique and transcendent.
Santana’s vision for „Sentient” was to look at his recent collaborations from a new perspective, weaving them into a sonic pilgrimage through jazz, hip-hop, soul, rock and Latin rhythms. Not only has he arranged the songs to fit his vision, but he has also reinterpreted many of them and improved some aspects of the tracks to create a coherent listening experience. The songs on „Sentient” range from recent hits and collaborations with superstars to rare, unreleased and overlooked tracks that Carlos wanted to present in a new context. The result is a spiritual journey through the infinite possibilities of music, guided by Santana’s uncompromising muse.
