Goth band Red Lorry Yellow Lorry may not be as well known as some of the bigger names in the genre, but TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER shows they were a talented bunch who are perhaps unfairly neglected. Coloured vinyl reissue of The Lorries’ first LP, originally released in 1985. Characterised by relentlessly rigid drum machine rhythms and an impenetrable wall of distorted guitars, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry arrived on the newly developing Goth rock scene in 1981 and immediately became indie chart regulars and fan favourites.
‘Talk About The Weather’ emerged on Red Rhino Records in 1985 and appeared on the indie rock albums chart for several months, peaking at No. 3. The album features the indie chart hits „This Today” and „Hollow Eyes”. A must for the serious post punk and goth rock enthusiast, and a key part of the incredible musical explosion that took place in the UK during the 1980s.
