Montage plays traditional hard rock with progressive rock elements. The band enjoys adding a slightly jazzy and psychedelic edge in their songs, and the guys in the band are definitely not afraid of experimenting with influences outside their own genre. Montage are a five-piece melodic hard rock group formed in 2011 and hailing from Finland’s capital city, Helsinki. Their style of music could be described as classic hard rock with a progressive edge. „Metamorphosis” is the bansds second album, featuring 9 eclectic rock songs with a wide range of influences. The album begins with three upbeat rock anthems: ”Age Of Innocence”, ”Metamorphosis” and ”Nature’s Child”. The band’s love for 1970’s prog rock can be heard in the following tracks ”Black Magic”, ”Haunted” and ”Invisible World”, which are followed by two guitar-driven hard rock numbers, ”Death Valley” and ”Reptiles”. The album closes with an atmospheric acoustic song, ”Carved In Stone”. A truly great and majestic album that will get a lot of attention in prog rock circles.
