Hard rock, combined with a fine touch of cowpunk and unmistakable Danish roughness: this unique blend has earned D-A-D a passionate fanbase whose loyalty reaches far beyond Scandinavia. Equally deep-rooted is the connection between the Hamburg-based dark rock giants MONO INC., whose latest album Darkness once again reached #1 in the German charts, and their Raven Family.
As early as 2008, MONO INC. paid tribute to D-A-D with a cover version of “Sleeping My Day Away”. Now, what belongs together finally rocks together: MONO INC. play D-A-D! Even more: in the MONO INC. version of “Grow Or Pay”, their epic, melancholic dark rock meets the unmistakable raspy voice of D-A-D singer Jesper Binzer.
“We have admired D-A-D since we first saw them live in the early 1990s,” explains MONO INC. mastermind Martin Engler. “The fact that we were able to bring Jesper Binzer on board for our version of ‘Grow Or Pay’, and that D-A-D will also join our 2026 tour in Bremen and Munich as special guests, is almost too much of an honor.”
