Mighty Oaks are back after a break of almost two years with a new album and a sold-out tour. The new album High Times is a collection of 12 stripped down, authentic, intimate acoustic songs recorded almost entirely live amongst the bricks and wood of Ian’s living room in Berlin.
„We moved my studio upstairs for a few weeks and recorded everything as raw and honest as we could,” – says Ian. „We wanted the listener to feel like they were in the room with us while listening to the album,” – says Craig. „It’s nothing to do with perfection, it’s about us being real and honest in the moment.”
Common themes such as love and friendship, life and longing run through the album, wrapped up in compact stories that take the listener into a dream, far away from everyday life, just as music should. The band will release their fifth album in September this year and will go on tour for six weeks shortly afterwards.
