Remaszterizált Limited edition bakelit lemez LP újra kiadás változat, 2026.
On which Millie comes face to face on the LP reissue of this 1978 album. Two R&B hits nestle beneath its silvery surface, one the rare combination of Millie with a Kenny Rogers song „Sweet Music Man” and the second a Latimore tune „Keep The Home Fires Burning”. The Muscle Shoals session players are present again, David Hood and Roger Hawkins presumably on the Alabama recordings, as Millie undertook a veritable tour of classic American studios from United Sound in Detroit to Criteria in Miami, Florida and the Sound Shop in Nashville. Never one to hold back, Ms Jackson loosens up on another 9 cuts – and as she rasps out the lyrics to her cover of Bobby and Cecil Womack’s „Put Something Down On It”, you know she’s going to Get It Out’Cha System. [Remastered from original analogue master tapes.]
Released in 1978, “Get It Out’cha System” was the follow-up to “Feelin’ Bitchy”, which went gold in 1977 and spawned two hit singles. The first single taken from “Get It Out’cha System” was Jackson’s beautiful take on the Kenny Rogers ballad ‘Sweet Music Man’ which reached #33 in the US soul singles chart. Other tracks on the album covered familiar Jackson territory from the tender ‘He Just Wants To Hear The Words’ to ‘Logs And Thangs’ where Jackson warned her man that if he did not light her fire then she’d put another log in her fireplace! This was the Millie Jackson her fans loved.
