Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert appeared on TV from 1972 to 1981 and was a massively important show for many a career. The Eagles appeared on the show in 1974, with a recording from the Beacon Theatre in New York, just a couple months after the release of their 3rd album On The Border, which was their most successful album to date, featuring the classic singles ‘Already Gone’, and ‘James Dean’. With help from Jackson Browne and Linda Ronstadt and rounded out by tracks from all 3 albums, including the brilliant cover of Tom Waits‘ ‘Ol’ 55′, along with now legendary songs like ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’, and ‘Desperado’, this is early Eagles at their live best!
