„Cocoon Machina”, the debut album by DRAW ME STORIES, is expansive, intensely rhythmic and refreshingly eccentric. Set for release on Glasstone Records, the album is the band’s first time working with producer Charlie Francis (REM, Turin Brakes, Future of the Left). In particular, Francis was drawn to the band’s unique sound.
„From the first time I met Draw Me Stories I thought they were impossible to categories – or what we used to call originality”, states Francis.
Formed in 2008, DRAW ME STORIES consists of Carl Hodgetts (vocals & guitar), Samuel Souter (drums & samples), Mathieu Albasser (bass & synth) and Joanne Blake (percussion & synth).
After self-releasing an acoustic LP and „The Sky” and the „Mirror” EP (2009), Glasstone Records released the bands experimental double A-side, „Oars & Becomes The Hunted”.
