Solo album by TERRY DRAPER (former KLAATU member) with guest appearances by KLAATU members Dee Long and John Woloschuk. Well as a major Klaatu fan, I have a tendency to be a true ‘fanboy’ whenever I write or talk about the band, so knowing this- take my review of former Klaatu member Terry Draper‘s solo disc for what it is- a great CD!!! „Light Years Later” is a collection of songs written between 1977 and 1994 including the opening cut We’re Not Alone which was written for Klaatu by Draper and John Woloschuk and features Dee Long on bass and guitar. The mood on this disc is very much in the Moody Blues/ Barclay James Harvest style with plenty of that cosmic Klaatu spirit to be found on nearly every track. Highlights include „It’s A Beautiful Day”, „Fly Away” and the stunning „Sunset Years” and according to Draper’s liner notes ’Always wanted to play with King Crimson. Wrote this as a ‘study’ to provide myself that opportunity.’ A beautiful piece of music. Recommended for fans of: Klaatu, Light Years Later is a must.
