DRAGONSCLAW formed in 2010 when guitarist, Ben Thomas joined forces with vocalist, Giles Lavery. The band are rounded out by bassist, Aaron Thomas, keyboardist, Ray Martens and drummer, Alcides „Seed” Stowe. DRAGONSCLAW feature a contemporary take on the power metal genre, forged in the established traditions of heavy metal.
DRAGONSCLAW boast a sonic alloy of aggressive yet catchy song writing, soaring vocals, powerful melodies and blazing guitar solos combined with symphonic orchestration and imaginative lyrics. DRAGONSCLAW are a celebration of what legions of metal fans love about traditional metal.
In late 2011, DRAGONSCLAW released their debut album, „Prophecy” on Arkeyn Steel Records. The album featured guest vocals by Blaze Bayley (Wolfsbane, Ex-Iron Maiden) on the title track.
„Judgement day” follows the path of „Prophecy” – so no surprises here! Nine songs, typically DRAGONSCLAW including a cover version of the WARLORD classic „Lucifer’s hammer”. WARLORD fans already could witness singer Giles Lavery on their three Europe gigs fronting the US cult band in spring 2013.
The second album also has two guest appearances, this time David Reece, known as singer for ACCEPT and second ex-VIRGIN STEELE guitarist Jack Starr.
