Recorded in San Diego in 1975 during the Split Coconut tour, this set catches Dave Mason at the height of his commercial standing in America – two consecutive Columbia gold albums behind him and a road-tested band in front of him. Drawing on Traffic-era material alongside solo cuts spanning five years, the concert ranges from the ubiquitous “Feelin’ Alright?” to a version of “All Along the Watchtower,” a song Mason had a direct hand in shaping when he introduced Hendrix to the Dylan original. A confident, unhurried performance from one of the more restlessly peripatetic figures in British rock history.
