Cedric Myton aka Cedric Congos history in Reggae goes back several decades.
Cedric played with Lincoln Thompson The Tartans in the early 1970’s until thay apparently fell out.
Myton was one of the backing harmony vocals on Prince Lincoln’s Humanity album recorded in 1975. He then joined up with Watty Burnett and Ashanti Roy as THE CONGOS.
They recorded the album Heart Of The Congos with Lee Perry at the controls, producing what is widely considered one of the Great classics of Reggae.
Later Myton pursued a solo career.
Cedric visited Ariwa a few years ago to work on a 10 inch single (Some Are Having Fun) followed by (Strength To Strength) a 7 inch single. Both tracks paid tribute to Lee Perry by having the Upsetter sound.
