The 2025 album „(S)hit Explosion” is a cover album by the German band Church of Confidence. It features 12 cover songs from the 1950s to the 1980s, reinterpreted in the band’s punk rock style and originally released as a limited edition vinyl LP on May 2, 2025. The album includes covers of songs from artists like CCR, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, and Slade. While it’s a cover album, the band doesn’t just play songs faster; they re-imagine them, mixing styles like glam, new wave, and Southern rock with their punk sound. It was produced by Uli Confidence, the band’s mastermind and owner of the Berlin club „Wild At Heart”. It was initially released as a limited-edition vinyl, with a classic black vinyl version limited to 500 copies worldwide.
