Rockpalast is a German TV Show broadcasting live concerts which take place in Germany. Recently they began releasing some of their back catalogue in form of CDs and DVDs. Rockpalast is a production of WDR, Cologne, Germany.
Paul Butterfield is an American blues vocalist and one of the first blues harp players to cross over to rock, born 17 December 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, USA and died of peritonitis due to drug use and heavy drinking 4 May 1987 in North Hollywood, California, USA. He began playing classical flute as a child. Inducted into Blues Hall of Fame in 2006.
Over the years, German TV show ROCKPALAST has played host to some of the biggest names in popular music, from Alice In Chains right through to The Zutons. On 15th September 1978, it was the turn of blues artist Paul Butterfield to take to that hallowed stage and prove just why he’s considered a music legend.
