Two years after the release of the „Frontier’s Edge” EP, the Budos band are back with their first full album since 2020’s „Long in the Tooth”. Released in 2025, the album is simply titled „VII” and showcases what they do best: hypnotic, horn-laced grooves that are both menacing and mesmerizing. Produced by Budos guitarist Tom Brenneck and Simon Guzmán, „VII” contains 11 densely constructed new tracks that draw from the group’s wide range of influences and sound the way only the Budos can. It’s music for winding down, late-night drives and alternative headspaces – a beguiling blend of mystery and rhythm that rivals the formidable work they’ve released over their two decades of output.
