Enter Brandon Goldberg. Heart, heart, heart, along with, of course, his blazing chops and phenomenal instincts. Brandon has this uncanny understanding of exactly what his job is. Sometimes, it’s to play ferociously but, sometimes, it’s to sink his body and soul into just one note. To me, that is what separates Brandon from all of the others. Yes, I hear strains of all those that went before him but they, too, were influenced by what came before them. The trick is, to make it your own. At the ripe old age of only 17, Brandon plays with the maturity and sensibility of someone twice his age, and with his very own style. And with heart!!!
