Energetic – that’s the best way to describe The Birch. Striking riffs, powerful rhythms, and everything embedded in psychedelic tones – this is how they create an atmosphere of pure ecstasy. „Vicious Mind” is a descent into the modern world of psych rock. With its seven tracks, side A shows a rather dark side of the band, which dissolves into a softer, more rock ‘n’ roll vibe on side B.
A trip abroad took The Birch to Miami Beach, where they recorded their second studio album – a stay that gave the album a new flavor thanks to the impressions from the ‘Land of the Free’. Twangy guitars and a driving rhythm section lead the listener into psychedelic soundscapes that are kept alive by a constant beat that accompanies you through the 30 minutes of Vicious Mind.
The Birch are a psychedelic rock trio from Quedlinburg, Germany. Consisting of Lucas Habenreich on guitar and vocals, Santi Garcia on bass and Volker Blath on drums. They create vigorous, driving riffs which send their audiences on a spiritual journey. Having formed five years ago, the band released their debut album “Dazed Dreams” in 2023 and are following it up on 21st November with Vicious Minds, released through Tonzonen Records.
