ASCEND is a new collaborative project between Gentry Densley and Greg Anderson. Ascend re-visits some of the tones, and moods of their past works as well as traveling into uncharted territory all done with the utmost focus on heaviness and power. The first album, Ample Fire Within mixes classic doom and drone melodies with more sophisticated jazz arrangements. Deluxe double-vinyl version in heavy-weight gatefold jacket and printed inner sleeves. Tracks A3 and D are bonus to this release. Track A3 recorded June 2008 in Los Angeles. Mixed July 2008 in Los Angeles. Track C1 contains excerpts of Native American field recordings.
