Born in 2011, as side-project of Alix (psych rock band), with five albums out: „G00D 1” the latest work recorded by Steve Albini and „Ground”, recorded by David Lenci.
Alice Albertazzi (vocals, guitar, foot tambourine) and Gianfranco Romanelli (dobro resonator guitars) play organic songs stripped to the bone.
That’s blues, psych and visionary.
„Like A Rose” is the new album by Alice Tambourine Lover and it’s released in June 2015 by Go Down Records in CD and digital download. From October 2015 the vinyl format is also available. After „Naked Songs” (2012) and „Star Rovers” (2013), ATL goes into the studio to record „Like A Rose” at the end of an intense period of concerts and collaborations.
Their sound is recognizable by Alice’s voice and Franco’s dobro guitar, but it continues to open up to new territories and landscapes still unexplored, maintaining the same simplicity and straightness that characterize previous records.
„Like A Rose” has various special guests and it includes 2 unreleased songs by Dandy Brown (Hermano/Orquestra Del Deserto) and John Garcia (Kyuss/Hermano), arranged and performed by ATL. The cover photo is by Californian artist Ed Ross.
