Aiwass, the Aleister Crowley-obsessed psychedelic doom project out of the American Southwest, has stretched beyond the soul-shaking soundscapes of its highly revered debut-album ‘Wayward Gods’ to deliver ‘The Falling’, a genre-bending experience with towering riffs, heart-wrenching melodies, layered instrumentation and meticulous attention to detail. The album was co-produced by recurring King Buffalo collaborator Grant Husselman. Across 5 songs in 40 minutes, The Falling bends reality with blaring organs, bittersweet harmonies, and monolithic riffs with metaphysical heft. Carrera crafts doom with a bruised soul that beckons the listener to commiserate and connect deeply.
