Berlin’s alternative rock / post-punk group Agatha is Dead! release their highly anticipated debut album „Concrete” which features the singles „Courtroom Drama”, „Kind Regards” and „Cold-Hearted”. Agatha Is Dead! began as a post-punk experiment between longtime friends Lilly and Noah, who first made music together during their school years. Drawing influence from Joy Division, The Cure, Molchat Doma and Fontaines D.C., their sound is defined by urgency, tension and atmosphere. The addition of drummer Joey Ramone Hansen — bringing a grunge and pop-punk bite — alongside Arthur on bass, completed the line-up.
Following a breakthrough year that has seen them perform at SXSW, sell out Berlin’s Lido four months in advance, and secure a coveted place in Reeperbahn Festival’s prestigious Wunderkind programme, Berlin post-punk quartet Agatha Is Dead! announce their debut album Concrete, released on 11 September 2026 via Duchess Box Records.
Formed during the long winter of 2021, Agatha Is Dead! began as a creative partnership between vocalist Lilly and guitarist Noah, writing songs in isolation before gradually bringing them to the stage. Influenced by Joy Division’s stark emotional landscapes and the nocturnal melancholy of The Cure, the band developed a sound that balances restraint and intensity in equal measure. Joined by drummer Joey Ramone Hansen and bassist Arthur, the quartet quickly established themselves as a formidable presence within Berlin’s underground music scene.
With Concrete, Agatha Is Dead! deliver a debut statement that captures uncertainty, longing and emotional dislocation with remarkable clarity. It is an album born from isolation yet destined for larger stages, marking the arrival of a band entering a defining new chapter.
