After a very personal album and an eventful period both before and after release, Against Me! singer Laura Jane Grace thinks it’s time for an album that concerns us all. It results
in not only more input from all band members, but also more diverse lyrical subjects than the complications that revolve around being transgender. The Punk Rock roots show through once again in social, economical and political observations and criticism.
The songs themselves though are more melodic than ever, showing Folk- and Indie-Rock influences that match them well. The band obviously know how to write a catchy track, but this time it’s all a bit less black-and-white without losing any menace. Good one!
