Better known as co-front man for chaotic rock four piece Sleepmode, Robin Adams has rapidly established himself as one of the UK’s most promising singer/songwriters since the band’s demise. Winner of the prestigious Billy Kelly Songwriting Award at the end of 2008, he emerged ahead of a prodigiously talented field, which included Tommy Reilly, winner of Orange Unsigned and recent Universal signee. Judged by a panel featuring some of Scotland’s leading talent, including musicians Bobby Bluebell, Kenny McCluskey, Donald Shaw, Frankie Miller and acclaimed playwright Peter McDougall, the award represented a distinct nod of approval from the higher echelons of the Scottish music scene.
