In the album „Fabulae” Clara Vetter translates selected constellations into new compositions: In the process, star constellations yield points of contact on the keyboard, which are musically developed further by incorporating her personal interval associations for visual forms and the context of Greek mythology. Initial visual sketches are musically twisted, turned, mirrored, and/or deformed until the character of the particular constellation is worked out – a working method not unlike the work of an illustrator. It is continued in performances, where the forms seen are dealt with interpretatively and improvisationally. In the quartet, this process is reinforced by the highly inspiring influence of Graupe, Angelov and Klein, which further shapes the music and makes its essence emerge ever more clearly.
