A „Songs from the Wedding Cake” az angol indie pop zenekar, a Blossoms hamarosan megjelenő hatodik stúdióalbuma. A megjelenés 2026. október 2-án várható az ODD SK Recordings gondozásában. Az albumot a „Joke About Divorce” és a „Meet Me in Love” kislemezek előfutáraként is emlegetik.
Digifile CD, featuring artwork, lyric and credits booklet. Blossoms return with their 6th studio album, ‘Songs From The Wedding Cake”. Featuring singles ‘Meet Me In Love’ and ‘Joke About Divorce’, the Wedding Cake, nickname for Stockport’s Town Hall where band member Tom Ogden got married, spans 10 tracks and follows up the 2024 number 1 album ‘Gary’. The album, produced by Shawn Lee, was recorded entirely to tape & is due for release 2nd October 2026. Art concept by Blossoms, album art photography by Sam Nicklin, wedding cake by Sarah Hardy.
The band have 4 #1 albums under their belt including debut ‘Blossoms’ (Certified Gold), ‘Foolish Loving Spaces’ (certified Silver), ‘Ribbon Around the Bomb’ and ‘Gary’. ‘Cool Like You’ came in at #4 and is certified Gold. Key accolades include BBC sound of 2016 shortlist, a Mercury Prize nomination (2017) and a Brit Awards nomination for British Breakthrough Act.
More recently the band have collaborated with CMAT with whom they shared a stage at Glastonbury, providing content for one of Radio 1’s best performing TikTok’s of 2025. Previous support slots have included Oasis, Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds at the Royal Albert Hall, The Stone Roses and The Charlatans. The band also featured in a Netflix romcom film, ‘Finding Emily’, in which they played themselves.
