To coincide with the band’s 40th anniversary, „Complete B Sides: 1988-97” has been remastered by Pixies and is being re-released 25 years after its original CD release.
„Complete B Sides” collects all the B-sides from the band’s classic 4AD era and contains some of the Pixies’ best „other” songs, including „Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf)”, „Into The White” and „The Thing”. Originally released on CD in 2001, when the band had already been on hiatus for nearly a decade, Complete B Sides: 1988 – 1997 included all 19 non-single tracks from the incredible string of singles the band released between 1988 and 1991.
Finally, the instrumental version of „Letter to Memphis” was added, which had previously only appeared on the US version of the Alec Eiffel maxi-single release. With room for more music on four sides of vinyl, this updated version also includes six live tracks taken from later Pixies releases, including the 1997 reissue of „Debaser”. For this updated edition, all tracks have been remastered from their original analog tapes by Kevin Vanbergen.
