„Radio-Activity” is the fifth studio album by the German electronic band Kraftwerk and was released in October 1975. It is the band’s first completely electronic album and a concept album that revolves around the themes of radioactive decay and radio communication.
The album was accompanied by a single release of the title track, which was successful in France. To cater to the band’s international audience, all releases of the album were bilingual, with lyrics in English and German.
Using the original 16-track master tapes, Kraftwerk founder Ralf Hütter and sound engineer Fritz Hilpert have created a brand new Dolby Atmos mix. This gives Kraftwerk’s first purely electronic album vibrant new timbres, precise details and a multi-layered, cinematic depth – making it the most experimental album in Kraftwerk’s catalog.
