Strictly limited edition box set capturing more than two decades of John Mayall’s groundbreaking blues performances. „The Second Generation” is a comprehensive 30-CD collection featuring iconic live shows from 1968 to 1993 around the world. This unrivaled release features John Mayall’s ever-changing cast of blues virtuosos, including guitar greats Mick Taylor, Harvey Mandel, Walter Trout and Coco Montoya, as well as legendary drummers like Keef Hartley and bass giants like John McVie and Larry Taylor.
This box set coincides with John Mayall’s well-deserved induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and was approved and fully endorsed by John Mayall before his sad passing earlier this year.
The set also includes a 120-page hardback book with an introduction and contributions from Gaz Mayall as well as many previously unseen photos.
